Photograph taken by Sidney H. Glanville on the First Floor landing above the main staircase of Borley Rectory.  The door just visible on the left is that of the Blue Room (Room 6).  The white circle on the floor denotes the position of the 'cold spot', a point on the landing where certain persons experienced odd sensations including that of coldness.  (Reproduced from The Most Haunted House in England by Harry Price [Longman, Green & Co., 1940])
